是歲，西域長史班超擊莎車，大破之。

Ban Chao led about twenty-five thousand troops of Yutian and the other vassal states against Shache. The King of Kuche led fifty thousand soldiers of Wensu, Gumo, and Weitu to relieve it. Ban Chao, judging his own force too small, devised a stratagem of pretending to scatter.
是歲，班超發於窴諸國兵共二萬五千人擊莎車，龜茲王發溫宿、姑墨、尉頭兵合五萬人救之。
