In the seventh month, he set up supply depots at Bailu and with five thousand elite cavalry pursued the Rouran; on the day renwu he caught up with them at Huaishuo Garrison (Guyang), routed them, and pushed on as far as Woye, seizing over twenty thousand heads and hundreds of thousands of livestock.
