In summer the Liao ruler sends his kinsman Xiao Dili and the governor of Dongjing Yelü Dashi to attack Goryeo; they lay a pontoon bridge over the Yalu River and build the main walled cities of Bao, Xuan, Yi, and Dingyuan.
