Dou Xian sent Geng Kui, who surrounded the Northern Chanyu at Jinwei Mountain, crushed him, and captured his mother, the yanzhi (consort). (Book of the Later Han (Hou Hanshu), Annals 後漢書卷4 孝和孝殤帝紀 永元3年)
In the second month, Dou Xian sent Geng Kui and Ren Shang to Juyan Pass, surrounded and crushed the Northern Chanyu at Jinwei Mountain.
